Gratitude

  • I rarely begin a morning without my wife there to share coffee with me, listen to me ramble on about what I have read in the news that morning and kissing me goodbye.
  • I have 2 wonderful daughters that each bring something uniquely special to my life.
  • My wife is the field general of our family. She does a lot to keep us organized, on task and moving along in the right direction.  I sincerely don't know what we would do without her.
  • My health has not been very good over the last 3 or 4 years but I am still here and still have my family on my side helping me through the especially tough days.
  • I have a job that, while I do not care much for the work itself, has provided me with great flexibility to get Ella to tutoring, go to physical therapy, etc. I am grateful to have it and the flexibility it provides and a boss and CIO that are understanding of my situation.
  • My mother and father are still alive and in good health.
  • I am able to afford most of my hobbies, experiments, and whims.
  • My wife and children are healthy and happy and make my life far more interesting and fulfilling than I deserve.
