Care Cycle

Care Cycle

They plant and tend,
for years and years,
suffering through,
with toil and tears.

The seeds crack soil,
a leaf peeks through,
reaching for the sun,
ambitious and true.

The farmer watches,
heart in hand,
each tiny leaf
a dream unplanned.

The farmer labors,
seasoned and worn,
through countless cycles,
a love reborn.

But roots grow deep,
and leaves grow wide,
the tender sprouts
soon turn the tide.

Now branches arch
to shield and guard,
their sturdy trunks
weather skies marred.

The farmer rests,
beneath their shade,
as seedlings grown
return what's made.
